Steps to Use Webmail as Default Mail Client in Chrome on Toshiba Laptop
Emailing the website owners have become the important task for today’s generation. Some send mail to contact the site management team for enquiry, product review, purchase merchandise online, sell products, apply jobs or send data for publishing. When we click the website contact page, it opens contact details or the Microsoft Outlook Email program opens in a new window. Well, the mail client pops-up instead of outlook. This happens when you are using the Google Chrome Web Browser. To ease the emailing option, you can use webmail as default client in Chrome. Here’s the process how to get started. Step 1: Open “Apps” in Google Chrome. Once you open the fresh tab on Google Chrome, you will see the title as “Apps” appearing below the bottom of your window. Now, you have to click the grey line or the “Apps.” Step 2: Tap the icon labeled “Chrome Web Store.” It will launch Google’s page displayed to open extensions and plug-ins for the Google Chrome browser. Step 3: Search the free Mailto extension by entering the word “Mailto” into the Google Chrome Web Store in the search box. This search box appears on the top left hand side of the Google Chrome Web Store window. Step 4: Next, install the Mailto extension. Once the Google Chrome Web Store search results are displayed, tap the option labeled “Add to Chrome” under the Mailto extension displayed as "famlam." Chrome and install the extension and you will automatically redirect to Mailto options window. Step 5: Choose the Web mail service you prefer to use. Mailto offers a list of popular email clients, including Gmail, Hotmail and Yahoo mail. Click the link “Custom URL” to select a Web mail service not displayed on the list. If you have access to several Web mail accounts and you don’t wish to use them again, simply click the checkbox appearing under the “Multiple Accounts.” Next, check the box that lets you set Mailto option, so the Mailto extension appears and prompts you about the Web mail clients you prefer use. Step 6: Finally, you need to close the Mailto options panel. For this click the “X” option appearing in the top right hand side of the screen. Now, whenever you click the email hot link using the Chrome, you will see the Webmail client launched automatically.
